QUICK ANSWERS

Notary FAQs

A few of the questions we hear most often before someone stops by.

Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. We still recommend calling ahead because our team may occasionally be away from the office providing training or other services.
What if I can’t make it into the office?
No worries! We offer online notary services, so you may be able to complete your notarization remotely without coming into our Panama City office. Contact us and we’ll help you determine whether your document can be handled through online notarization.
How much is notary service?
Our standard notary service fee is $10.
What should I bring?
Bring the document that needs to be notarized and acceptable identification. Anyone whose signature needs to be notarized generally needs to be present for the applicable notarial act.
Should I sign the document before I arrive?
If the notarial act requires the notary to witness your signature, wait to sign until you are with the notary. If you are unsure, bring the document unsigned and we'll review the notarial certificate with you.
Can you tell me which type of notarization I need?
A notary can explain the notarial acts available but cannot provide legal advice or choose the required notarial act for you.
Can every document be notarized?
Not necessarily. The document and circumstances must allow the notary to complete a lawful notarial act. If a requirement cannot be met, the notarization may need to be delayed.
